From the testimony of the Count of Dunois on February 22, 1456 ("...for on May 27 [sic - should be May 7], in the early morning when the attack upon the enemy soldiers in the bulwark of the Bridge was begun, Jehanne was wounded by an arrow, which penetrated her flesh between the neck and shoulder, to a depth of half a foot.")
