From the deposition of Jehanne, widow of Thiescelin de Viteau (or Vittel)
at the Rehabilitation Trial, on January 29, 1456:
"They baptised her in the font of the St. Remy parish church
in the village, and I was her godmother, she carried my name."

One of her other godmothers, Jehanne (the wife of Thévenin Royer (or Le Royer, le Roye, Roze)), who testified on the same day: "... she had for godfathers Jean Barre of Neufchâteau, and Jean Moreau of Greux; for godmothers, Jhenette, widow of Theiscelin, and myself..." (DuParc's "Procès en Nullité...", Vol I, p. 260; see also "Les Procès de Jeanne d'Arc", p. 211).
A third godmother was Jehanne, "the wife of Mayor Aubéry", according to the saint's own testimony at the Condemnation Trial: "And she heard it said by a woman named Jehanne, the wife of Mayor Aubéry, in French 'du maire Aubry', of that village, who was the godmother of [the witness] ..." ("Procès de Condamnation...", f 17r, lines 27 - 29); for translations, see: Barrett's "The Trial of Jeanne d'Arc", p. 55; Scot's "The Trial of Joan of Arc", p. 75).
Among her other godmothers were Béatrice, widow of a man named d'Estellin; Edette, widow of Jean Barre, Agnes (surname unknown); and Sybille (surname unknown). The testimony on this subject includes the following:
Her own testimony: "Asked who her godfathers and godmothers were, she said one godmother was named Agnes, another Jehanne, another Sybille... she had several other godmothers, as she heard from her mother." Jean Moreau: "...and her godmothers were the wife of Etienne [sic - should be Thévenin] Royer, and Béatrice, Tiescelin's widow, living in Domremy; and also Jhenette, the widow of Tiescelin de Vittel [Viteau], living in Neufchateau."
