From the deposition of the Count of Dunois: "...I remember that after the previously mentioned victories, the lords of the Royal family and the commanders wanted the King to go into Normandy rather than to Rheims; but the Maiden was always of the opinion that it was proper to go to Rheims for the coronation of the King, and added the reasoning behind her opinion, saying that when the King was crowned and consecrated the power of the enemy would always diminish and they would finally be unable to harm either himself nor the kingdom. All agreed to her opinion."
