From the testimony at the Condemnation trial, session on March 3rd: "Asked what welcome Friar Richard had given her, she replied that those of the town of Troyes, as she thought, had sent him to her, fearing that she might not be a thing from God; and when he came out to her, while approaching he made the sign of the cross and threw holy water, and she said to him, 'Approach boldly, I shall not fly away.' "
